How do search engines rank the stuff they find on the Internet?
Search engines like Google and Yahoo & MSN have a self created index with your business listed in it. The search engines organises these listings with relevant keywords relating to your website. So when a user types in the relevant keyword into the search engine it generates results relating to the keywords. The process by which it does this is very complex and is forever changing.

Who or What Makes one Page more useful than another one so it will appear at the top?
If Google has seen a definition for the word or phrase on the Web, it will retrieve that information and display it at the top of your search results.

What are some Favourite search engines?
www.google.com -Has a vast amount of knowledge and always has good results.
www.wikipedia.com - Good information form an encyclypedia's point of view.
www.yahoo.com Another major seach engine that has alot of useful info.
www.askjeeves.com A seconday search engine, if i'm struggling for information.
